Jered & Robyn’s Wedding | Cox Bay Beach Resort | Tofino Wedding Photography

When I woke up on Saturday to see the sun shining for the 8th day in a row after the snow we had last week, I was more than happy- I was thrilled that I was going to be shooting a sunny wedding on one of my favourite beaches! The light always inspires me in Tofino and some days the creativity seems to last all day.

It was my first wedding at Cox Bay Beach Resort and I have to say the place is awesome. The architecture is really unique and lends itself well to a photographic backdrop and it’s only seconds to the beach. Suzanne Ryles with West Coast Weddings and Events was the wedding co-ordinator for the event and she was readily on hand to make sure everything was running smoothly. Local Anglican Minister Joan Scandrett beautifully officiated the wedding.

Jered and Robyn were really fun to hang out with for the day. They were super easy-going and adventurous. Their photo shoot felt more like I was hanging out with old friends rather than people I had just met. It was difficult to choose just a few to post here but I think these give a good representation of the variety of angles and backdrops we worked with.

I will never get tired of this view of Rosie’s Bay and Chesterman’s Beach!

I had spoken with Robyn about how we could make her photographs extra special and she suggested they could use classic vintage props. Love it! After a good trek through the rainforest and on the beach, we had a hat session and shared some good laughs. Thanks Jered and Robyn for your creative energy and and for sharing such a special day with me. May my photography bring you back to Tofino and your day for many years to come. Cheers!!

I’m so glad that some of the photos are posted already!! Robyn is one of my oldest friends and I was lucky enough to have her part of my wedding last summer here in Malta- due to distance and short notice hehe, I couldn’t make it back to Canada for her special day. The day looks like it was amazing, I so wish that I could have been there. The photos, how you captured them, seems perfect- very true to who they are I think. Great job!!

Thanks Angela! I am so pleased to know that even though you weren’t able to be here, you can still share in the happiness and joy through my photographs. It was a very very sweet and beautiful wedding and there are over 400 more photos that I am sure Robyn and Jered will want you to see. :D

Thanks Marnie. I can’t believe I’m still coming to look at the pics on this blog post months after the wedding!

Just love how the photos turned out and thanks so much for playing along with our props idea. It really brought us out of our shells!

I look forward to working with you again!
